Species Common Name: Corn Chamomile*
Species Botanical Name: Anthemis arvensis

An Annual that is sadly now extinct, imported wildflower mixtures contain this species and its not Corn Chamomile instead its Austrian chamomile

Management:  None, sow and grow and cut at end of year or leave to the birds and frost.
Tolerance of cutting: None, except in spring after Autumn sowing
Cutting time: None

Edible / Medicinal: Do not consume unless advised.

Life Cycle (Form): Annual

Flower Height: 20 to 30 cm

Foliage Height: 5 - 20 cm

Flower Colour: White

Flowering period:  June, July, August, September.

Time to Flower: 2 months

Soil Type: Most, best in deep dry, light and rich soil.  

pH Type: Neutral, Alkaline

Moisture: Dry, Moist

Aspect:  Full sun

Species Common Name:  Corn Marigold
Species Botanical Name:  Glebionis segetum - Chrysanthemum segetum

An Annual that is sadly now nearly extinct, we re-introduced this species from the last Irish sources, you will see it only in the first year and it will attract many finches and hoverflies.

Management:  None, sow and grow and cut at end of year or leave to the birds.  As a annual in corn it is persistent and invasive
