The Wildflower seed mixtures we produce for Ulster, tends to mainly acidic brown earth and peat loving the mixture should be selected for the drier east coast or wetter west and uplands, with these
variations in mind, we have a wide selection of wild flower seed mixtures, including ones for drumlins and steep cuttings for the undulating border counties.
Armagh and Down have mainly Acid Gley (clay / loam) and Rich Brown earths,
The upper Mournes and most of the west of Ulster have peaty soil types and podzols (impervious layer) and Antrim and over to Limavady have blanket peat, Gleys (real clays) and Acid Brown Earths.
