Our aim is to produce plants for every type of wildflower grower, gardener, landscaper and conservationist. |
|
Our native plant stock is produced especially to be: transplant resilient and inexpensive.
We have chosen to produce our plants like forestry transplants, hardy and packed in bags for ease of transport. They can be planted much like very young forestry trees. A skilled planter will
establish hundreds of plants per day.
Our current breeding program will ensure a wider range of
bare rooted wildflowers.

DBN Mountain Nursery
|
|
Our gene nursery is situated on the Castlecomer plateau at 1000 feet above sea level, We grow Hardy Native Stock that is naturally pest & disease free. We can lift 'DBN Plants' off our mulches
well into early summer, (our spring on the hilltop) and also lift them in early autumn so you can be planting our stock when the weather and soil are warm.
We do not use fertilisers or pesticides and use very little weed killer except for clearing pathways or to disturb grassy ground.
We have even attracted the Corncrake back to our locality as well as encourage new butterfly species to the area.
